Although this was drawn very quickly with nothing more than sheer scribbling, it very accurately depicts the shape and design of my coffee mug. It also captures the whimsical elements of my mug as well.
This is a much more subtle drawing. The mug is much more delicately portrayed and composed entirely of lines.
I took a much different approach in this drawing. The concentration was done on the negative and positive space, and the contrast in the shadows on the pure white mug which were further emphasized by using ink rather than graphite.
The concentration here is on the different shapes and values that are reflected in shiny objects. I focused on depicting how the light hitting the mug creates different chunks of value on the surface.
This was drawn from both a much different perspective and with a different technique. I used hatching and cross-hatching to create value and depth to the mug.
